Emily Ricketts Ph.D. is an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). She serves as Director of the UCLA Practicum Training Program and Associate Director of the UCLA Psychology Internship Training Program. Dr. Ricketts received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Florida. She then completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 2014, with her clinical internship completed at Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic in Pittsburgh, PA. Following graduate school, Dr. Ricketts headed to the UCLA Child OCD, Anxiety, and Tic Disorders Program, to complete her postdoctoral fellowship in child mental health intervention research, where she has remained until present. Her research interests center on sleep and circadian disruption and related interventions (e.g., light therapy, behavior therapy) in youth and adults with Tourette’s disorder, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders (e.g., trichotillomania, skin picking disorder), and associated conditions (e.g., ADHD, anxiety). She has received funding from the Tourette Association of America, Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, National Institute of Mental Health, and National Heart Lung and Blood Institute for sleep and circadian-focused research.

Dr. Ricketts’ research interests center on sleep and circadian disturbance, and associated behavioral and novel therapeutic interventions in youth and adults with tic disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and comorbid disorders (e.g., anxiety, ADHD). Her clinical interests are focused on behavioral/cognitive-behavioral therapy for youth with the aforementioned conditions, and behavioral/cognitive-behavioral interventions and light therapy for youth with sleep problems and disorders.
