We are required to attend Child Grand Rounds, and we are strongly encouraged to attend Semel
Institute Grand Rounds. To support this, our attendance at departmental and divisional grand
rounds is protected. Faculty are aware to provide clinical coverage as appropriate in order to
support our attendance. Each second-year fellow is expected to give a child psychiatry grand
rounds presentation on a child psychiatry topic of their choice — these typically occur in the 2nd
half of the CF2 year. We are encouraged to attend other available educational opportunities on
campus that we find relevant and potentially rewarding. The basic schedule for grand rounds is
as follows:


Semel Institute Grand Rounds:
What: Clinical neurosciences, human behavior, and mental health care
When: Every Tuesday year around, coffee at 10:45 AM, presentation from 11 AM – 12 PM
Where: Louis Jolyon West Auditorium, C8-183 (C level in Semel); there is now a hybrid model
in which there is an option for online registration and a link will be emailed for attending the
grand rounds webinar.

Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Grand Rounds:
What: CAP mental health research, treatment innovations, and trainee presentations
When: Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday from September – June, from 9 – 10 AM
Where: Marisa Leif Conference Room (3rd Floor in 300 Medical Plaza Building); there is now a
hybrid model in which there is an option for online registration and a link will be emailed for
attending the grand rounds webinar.
