Biography

John H. Lee, MD, PhD, joined the Adult Division faculty on July 1 as an Assistant Professor.  He will conduct research on how astrocytes contribute to brain wiring and experience-dependent synaptic plasticity. He uses a combination of CRISPR-based genome editing, single cell sequencing, transgenic mice, and single cell labeling approaches to identify genes that control astrocyte diversity and morphogenesis in the developing brain. Dr. Lee’s clinical interests include treatment of mood and anxiety disorders using medications, behavioral methods, and repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS).
