In the (unlikely) event of needle sticks or exposure incidents, please alert the attending and follow the steps below:
- Immediately contact Occupational Health for testing and post-exposure care. It is recommended that you receive care within 2 hours of the exposure. If it is after hours, go to the ER immediately and be sure to tell them about the exposure and need for immediate care.
- Once you have received proper care, please complete the incident report form and fax it to UCLA Medical Center Human Resources (https://www.uclahealth.org/hr/documents/Incident%20Report%20.pdf
Also, if you have any other type of injury at work, alert your attending supervisor. You can get evaluated at Occupational Health.
