Each fellow receives $3,000 in BruinCard funds for use at any of the on-campus cafeterias or
food vendors. There may be a lag time in funds being uploaded onto your BruinCard. If within a
week of orientation you still do not have available funds, email Dulce along with
gme@mednet.ucla.edu and include your name, 9 digit UID # from the front of your card, and the
error message received. For other BruinCard issues, call x8-5307.
Cafeteria Hours
Main Cafeteria (first floor RRMC): 6:30AM – 10PM M-F; 7:30 AM -8 PM weekends and
holidays. Starbucks on site open until 2PM.
Subway (B level of RRMC): 24/7
Cafe Med and Starbucks (1st floor of Semel building): M-F 8 AM – 2 PM for cafeteria
and Starbucks
Spending Cafeteria funds
You will receive $3000 on your BruinCard each year to be used at the above locations. This
money does not roll over to the next year. You can only spend a maximum of $25 per day, so if
you are on call and planning on eating dinner on campus, budget your daily meal money
accordingly. At both the Reagan cafeteria and the Semel Cafe Med, there are some options to
“grocery shop” and buy things like fruit, snacks, granola bars, and cereal.
